Weekly Digest (27-05)

I'm trying to evaluate how I have lived my life last week. I have planned in the beginning of the week what I wanted to do. But when I compared it with what I've accomplished, I'm still not satisfied. A wise man said that we can learn more from failures than from successes. I agree with him, while I insist that failure is not my option.

Three lessons from the last week:
  • Time is my most important commodity which, like or not, should be spent and can not be saved. There's a truth in statement "time is money." If people are usually very careful in using their money, so why not doing the same with their time? Again, I should make a good plan on a daily and weekly basis. Plans which are challenging, but realizable. Fail to plan is plan to fail. I must remember that. There is time for everything, also for enjoying life itself. The novel "Momo" is rich with good teachings on time. I recommend the book.
  • I think I was not as productive as I could be this week. I think quality of a man is also determined from his productivity, what and how much he can produce, how fast he do it, how efficient and effective he is in doing his job. I think I need to be more focused in my life. I must always remind myself that I have very limited resources (time, energy, money) and therefore I should define my goals and concentrate on doing only the things that contribute in turning the goals into reality. I must define my roles in the world, of course, in accordance to what God wants. O Holy Spirit, help and guide me.
  • I realize again that my quality personal quiet time with God in Scripture and prayer must be the first and most important agenda in starting my life every day, every morning. It looks so simple. Yes, yet it is the most vital. I don't care what other people say, but for me it is the key of success. Of course, success here means that I do what God wants me to do in ways that please him the best. That's worship.
Three keywords for the next seven days:
FOCUS, PRODUCTIVITY, WORSHIP.

"Strategy is the optimum deployment of scarce resources to accomplish predefined goals."
