- I experienced the real effects of writing my ideas on the blog. They can stick to my memory much longer than if I don't write them. Many times when I was doing something which was against what I have written, then I was reminded by them. It seemed that the words were alive and became my faithful advisors. Conversely, when I was absent from writing my ideas, reflections or anything on the blog, the voice of my writings became smaller and smaller. That's why I think it is very important to write your ideas as soon as you think about it. The memory of normal man is more like RAM than hard disk. What you are thinking now may be lost at time you are thinking something else. As I write this, I remember a quote that a good engineer/creative person always bring a small ring notepad and a pen in his pocket wherever he goes to jot down any ideas he may think of accidentally. OK then, maybe I'll try that new habit tomorrow.
- I must trained myself to be a man a today, not a man of yesterday or tomorrow. Sometimes I feel so bad when I realize that I have wasted my time. But I must remember that there is no benefit from crying for the lost time. I cannot get it back. What I should tell myself is then to plan my time well and put it into action with my maximum efforts NOW. The past is good for taking lessons from for doing better now for the sake of better future. I just have the present, so be wise.
- I have been trying to practice to get more focused on everything I did. I think the result was much better that that which was done without full concentration. The more focused I am when doing something, the more my productivity increased, and the more the quality of the result.
- I read again the book titled GOALS! written by Brian Tracy. It is a really good book and I recommend it for you to read. After reading a chapter in the book, I thought to myself that I was still blur on deciding on which fields I want to be specialized particularly in the vast jungle of informatics. What is the thing that I am extremely good on? After some deep thoughts and conversation with myself, I decided to be a specialist in web design, graphics design and web programming (using PHP and MySQL) in relation with computer. In electrical engineering, I'd like to focus more on wireless technology.
